Processing of personal data upon using the services provided by RMK

When certain services are consumed, RMK processes personal data for the provision of the relevant service. The data to be processed is required by law and necessary for the conclusion of the contract or provision of the service. Personal data is processed, for example:

1. When purchasing timber

RMK processes the data needed to make a sales offer, conclude a contract and deliver goods. If a person has expressed a wish to pay for the goods in instalments, the information provided in the after-payment application shall be forwarded to the company providing financial services. RMK retains the documents related to the purchase of timber in compliance with the Accounting Act for seven years.

2. When purchasing cutting right and cutting waste

RMK processes the data needed to make a sales offer, conclude a contract and issue an invoice. RMK retains the data and documents related to the sale of cutting right and cutting waste in compliance with the Accounting Act for seven years.

3. When using the accommodation service

RMK processes the data needed to provide the accommodation service. When using the accommodation service, the person must fill in a registration card with the information required by the Tourism Act and additional information (for example, the purpose of the stay and the personal preferences of the service recipient). RMK retains the registration cards in compliance with the Tourism Act for two years.

4. When applying for a hunting licence

RMK processes the data for issuing a hunting licence. RMK retains the returned hunting permits and lists of hunters for three years in compliance with the Hunting Act.

5. When returning fish tags

RMK processes the data for the registration of a fish tag notification, sending a reply letter and a souvenir for the submission of the notification, and payment of the fee. RMK retains the fish tag notifications for research purposes permanently.

6. When participating in public events organised by RMK

RMK processes the data provided by the participants upon registration for a specific event (for example, to identify the number of participants, provide the participant with an invoice, confirmation of registration or event information and to contact the participant during the event). Generally, the registration data is not retained after the event.

7. When using the Hiker's Passport

RMK processes the data to provide a person with the Hiker's Passport service and benefits related to the use thereof (delivery of goods and services) with the consent of the person.

8. When participating in draws, games and competitions organised by RMK

RMK processes the data submitted by participants during the registration process (including data that is transmitted in social media posts or comments) within a particular draw, game or competition (for example, to identify the winner, announce and get in touch with them) based on the consent of the person. The participant must always read the rules and conditions of a particular draw, game or competition before transmitting its data. If the participant does not agree to the terms and the processing of its data, it is not possible to participate in the respective draw, game or competition. Generally, RMK retains the participants' data until awarding the winner or another deadline specified in the terms.

9. When ordering direct mail

RMK processes the data for sending direct mail to individuals based on their consent. If a person wants to opt out of direct mail, this can be done through the link in the footer of each sent direct mail. The change will take effect immediately, and the direct mail will be discontinued.
