12.06.2008 - Piret Lantin to become the Head of the Internal Audit Division of RMK 05.10

The Supervisory Board of the State Forest Management Centre (RMK) authorised Piret Lantin, the current Internal Auditor of AS SEB Pank, to office as the Head of the Internal Audit Division. Piret Lantin will start work as the new Head of the Internal Audit Division of RMK on 14 July.

Piret Lantin has graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Tartu. Since 1994, she had been working at Eesti Ühispank, first as the head of the interbank and intrabank settlements group, and since 2000 as the internal auditor of the bank.

Piret Lantin is a founding member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and a member of the Estonian Association of Parents.

Jana Jalast, the previous Head of the Internal Audit Division of RMK, left RMK of her own volition in April.

RMK is a profit-making state agency the main task of which is the sustainable and efficient management of the state forest. RMK grows reforestation materials, organises forestry works, is engaged in the sale of forest and timber and organises game upkeep. In addition to this, RMK creates possibilities for nature travelling and forest holidays on recreational areas, and shapes nature-awareness. RMK manages 40% of Estonian forests.
