01.08.2008 - RMK Research Council is accepting project applications 05.10

From today, the Research Council of RMK is awaiting applications for the financing of applied research related to priority research topics. Applied research may last for a period of up to three years and the minimum annual financing is EEK 100 000.

Applicants are asked to please send their applications, via e-mail, to the RMK Research Council at the address kristjan.tonissonrmk.ee, by 15 September, at the latest. Additional information is available from the same address.

The Research Council of RMK is a body of researchers and experts who advise the management board of RMK on the commissioning of applied research related to forest management. The members of the Council are Asko Lõhmus, Head of the conservation biology group at Tartu University, Professor Krista Lõhmus, Head of the Chair of Ecophysiology at the University of Tartu, Professor Kalev Sepp, Head of the Department of Landscape Management and Nature Conservation at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Professor Rein Ahas, Head of the Chair of Human Geography and Regional Planning at the University of Tartu, and Kalev Jõgiste, Head of the Department of Forest Biology, Institute of Forestry and Rural Engineering at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. In addition to academic experts, the Research Council also includes RMK employees Andres Onemar and Kristjan Tõnisson.
